He was born and raised muslim, by an african muslim father and an Indonesian stepfather. Although he said he has converted to christainity, I think deep inside he is still a muslim in heart.

So what? What does being a Muslim have to do with anything? It doesn’t make him a terrorist or Al Qaeda sympathizer. Besides, what do we care what the Islamic world thinks of our presidential candidate? Obama is a Christian, and most Americans believe he is. That’s the only good thing to come out of the Reverend Wright controversy — it put to rest the preposterous “Obama is a Muslim” criticisms.

No he is not a closest muslim. he is actually proffesses to be Christian, he even has a great speach he gave infront of leaders at a church about the seperation of Church and state. and how he came to be a Christian. In the situation that we are in now I do not think it would be a bad Idea to have a leader who actually knows what is in the quran. I mean we are fighting against muslim extremist… the guy commanding the military should at least know what the other guys are fighting for.
